Automate, Innovate, and Reclaim Your Time with AI

In a world where time is the most precious commodity, every second spared can mean more for your life, your business, and your peace of mind. The easiest way I find to help people understand the power of AI is to pick a simple, common workflow or task they do regularly and test using AI to do it each week. With Workflow Wednesdays, I aim to showcase some of the simple workflows that everyone has and explain how I automate them as much as possible using AI.

One prime example is automating meeting notes and summaries. If you're like me, nothing makes you happier than a blank calendar where you have the freedom to focus on whatever you like. However, in reality, that is not often the case, and meetings play a prominent role in many people's professional lives. While I usually find regular meetings to be a waste of time, it's great when you can fully immerse yourself in a great one without having to worry about taking notes.

I’ve recently been trying out Vowel.com, an AI-powered tool designed to automatically transcribe meetings. Imagine the hours you've spent meticulously transcribing conversations or combing through notes post-meeting. With Vowel, that time is regained. The platform provides AI-powered summaries and action items, providing concise overviews and the next steps without the need for manual intervention. This means less time sifting through content and more time focusing on what truly matters: action and execution.

But the efficiencies don't stop there. Vowel's transcriptions and summaries can be integrated seamlessly into your existing workflow through automation tools like Zapier. With a few clicks, your meeting's vital points and action items can be sent directly to platforms like Notion, where they can be effortlessly accessed and acted upon. There is also no doubt that Google and Zoom will soon be releasing similar functionality on their popular Video conferencing tools.
