The Ultimate AI Starter Tech Stack

A Beginner's Guide to Essential Tools

Last week I had a number of people reach out and ask what AI tools I’m regularly using. In truth I’m testing loads each day, but I thought it was worth sharing my current AI tech stack that has optimised my productivity and streamlined my daily workflows.

First up is Notion, which I use as my operating system. Notion offers an all-in-one workspace for notes, tasks, and project management. Its flexible interface and powerful features make it a one-stop solution for organising my life and work.

To supercharge Notion, I use NotionAI, an AI-powered assistant that integrates seamlessly with my workspace. With NotionAI, I can automate tedious tasks, find relevant content, improves my writing – all within the platform. Notion + NotionAI upgrade costs me $18 per month.

Next in my tech stack is ChatGPT-4, an advanced AI language model that assists with content creation, research, and answering questions. Whether it's drafting emails, writing blog posts, or brainstorming ideas, ChatGPT-4 has got me covered. I have upgraded to ChatPT Plus as it provides me with access even during peak times, Faster response times, and Priority access to new features and improvements. This costs me $20 per month.

Lastly, I use tl;dv for recording and summarising my meetings. This powerful tool transcribes my zoom conversations in real-time and generates concise, easy-to-understand summaries. Gone are the days of sifting through hours of audio – with tl;dv, I can quickly review key points and make informed decisions. I automatically send the summaries to Notion and use NotionAI to generate action points. Currently, I am using the free plan.

In conclusion, my AI tech stack – consisting of Notion + NotionAI, ChatGPT-4, and tl;dv – has revolutionised my work-life balance. These AI-powered tools have streamlined my tasks and allowed me to focus on what matters most, all while staying organised and efficient. At $38 per month, it's like having an assistant with an MBA degree from Harvard. This is a total game changer and a nice preview of what's to come as these tools continue to improve.

I hope you enjoy today's newsletter. As always, thank you for being early supporters of Do more with ai.

Most Valuable Image (MVI)

This image was created with Midjourney via the following prompt: Take cues from the iconic street photography of Diane Arbus and Bruce Davidson, and craft a gritty editorial image of a beautiful young woman with bold tattoos and punk style, reclining on a classic Harley Davidson chopper. Shot on a medium format camera with a 100mm lens and Porta film, set against the backdrop of New York City in the 1960s, the image should capture the edginess and rebellion of the punk subculture.

If you spend an hour typing prompts into MidJourney, who owns the result? There are easy answers to this, but they're probably wrong - these are new questions with new puzzles, much like radio, photography or music before.
